- 2 x 750ml of the 2020 Great Southern Pinot Noir by winemaker Chris Murtha from Plantagenet Wines has ensured that while traditional pinot fruit characters are the dominant force, oak has been deftly woven into the flavour profile, offering a restrained and very classy wine.
- 2 x 750ml of the 2018 Margaret River Cabernet Merlot by Brian Fletcher from Calneggia Family Vineyards expertly harnesses the essence of Margaret River fruit. While showing enough respect to the traditional Bordeaux style he has brought to the fore the more earthy, oaky components that make this such a sophisticated blend.
- 2 x 750ml of the 2019 Margaret River Syrah by winemaker Japo Dalli Cani of McHenry Hohnen who had the Rhone Valley in France in mind when he vinified a high percentage of whole grape clusters and added a touch of Roussanne fruit for co-fermentation. Large format/neutral oak has finished this into an opulent and languid Syrah that is smooth and just so easy to drink.

Thank you. I’m no expert when it comes to wine nor will I ever claim to be. If I find something I like then that’s it. I decided to give this Greenskin Wine Red Medley a go because I like red wine but have never been able to settle on a particular brand or style. Well as my dear old grandad used to say “Struth Ruth”. This selection is terrific. I recently went to the Mundi Mundi Bash as a volunteer and took these wines with me. Sitting around the campfire at night with a glass of red was bliss. And I had to fight off the other campers/volunteers in my group from drinking all my wine! Not only was the wine good but the packaging lends itself to travel so well. I could talk about this wine for ages; suffice to say I’ve found my happy place and will not be looking elsewhere. Thanks Greenskin. Job well done.
