We’re proud to be supporting the Abell Point Yacht Club (APYC) as a sponsor for their upcoming sailing events in the Whitsundays, including the Warri Cup, Round the Molles, and the Coral Coast Rally.
For us, this one feels particularly close to home.
Both Mike and I have spent a lot of time on the water, including many years living and working on Hamilton Island. Greenskin Wine was born out of that exact environment – long days sailing, tight storage, and the constant frustration of dealing with glass onboard.
Great wine was never the issue. Taking it with you was.
That’s where the idea for Greenskin came from.
Traditional wine packaging doesn’t suit boats. Bottles are heavy, they break, they take up valuable space, and once opened, they don’t last long.
Our wine pouches solve those problems without compromising on what’s inside.
Each pouch holds a full 750ml of premium Western Australian wine from Margaret River and the Great Southern. They’re lightweight, compact, and unbreakable – easy to store, easy to chill, and easy to take anywhere.
The resealable design means you can squeeze the air out after pouring and keep the wine fresh for weeks, not days. Perfect for those times when you feel like a glass without committing to the whole bottle.
It’s a simple shift, but on a boat, it makes a big difference.
There’s a long-standing perception that alternative wine packaging means lower quality. That might have been true once, but it’s not what we’re doing.
We work with producers we know and trust, selecting small parcels of premium wines that stand up in the glass, regardless of what they’re packaged in.
The pouch doesn’t change the wine. It just makes it more practical to take with you.
Sustainability is also a huge part of the equation for Greenskin Wine.
Our pouches use 82% less energy to produce than glass and are far more efficient to transport due to their lightweight, compact nature.
