MIKE’S WINE NOTES 2024 PINOT NOIR:
Mike Davies – Co-founder Greenskin Wine, winemaker and wine packaging specialist.
We’re thrilled to bring you once again something truly special – the stunning 2024 Pinot Noir crafted by Michael Webster from Hay Shed Hill, using a small, exceptional parcel of fruit from the renowned Lansdale Vineyard in the Great Southern wine region of Western Australia. Thanks to a close connection with West Cape Howe Wines, we’ve been lucky enough to secure this limited release.
The 2024 vintage saw an early harvest after a beautifully warm, dry summer – the perfect conditions for Pinot Noir. This has led to a wine that balances vibrant fruit with savoury characters, showcasing everything we love about Great Southern Pinot.
- Colour: In the glass, it shimmers with a lively crimson hue and delicate pink edges.
- Bouquet: Lifted aromas of cherries, strawberries, forest berries and charcuterie are layered with a subtle hint of truffle.
- Palate: The palate is bursting with a juicy fusion of strawberries, light mushroom and gentle earthy tones, beautifully supported by subtle new oak character that dries and lingers to a clean and tight finish.

This wine ticks all the boxes for camping: tastes great, easy to store and carry, lighter than bottles, easy to recap and save some for later (but honestly that’s hard to do cos it tastes great) This wine innovation is one everyone should get on board.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this, Viv. You’ve pretty much summed up exactly why we created Greenskin Wine – great wine that’s simply easier to take with you. We are so pleased to hear the Pinot Noir is ticking all the boxes on your camping trips. And yes… saving some for later can be a challenge when it tastes so good! We really appreciate your support. Cheers, Kim and Mike
