What is Rosé wine and how is it made?

Rosé wine has gained immense popularity in recent years and has become a favourite for many wine lovers.

It is a type of wine that has a pink or light red color and is made by blending red and white grapes or by fermenting red grapes with their skins removed after a short period of contact.

The Greenskin Rosé is made from red grapes with their skins removed. Essentially it is red grapes made white wine style.

Rosé wine can be made from a variety of grapes such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. The color of the wine can range from a light pink to a darker shade of pink or even orange. The color of the wine is determined by the length of time the grape skins are in contact with the juice. The longer the skins are in contact, the darker the color of the wine.

The 2022 Greenskin Rosé is made from a very special plot of Margaret River Grenache grapes and has been expertly created by talented winemaker Remy Guise from Domaine Naturaliste vineyards.

Rosé wine is a versatile and delicious wine that pairs well with light foods such as salads, seafood, and grilled vegetables.

If you enjoy a crisp refreshing wine, Rosé is sure to please!

Cheers,

Mike and Kim
