Greenskin Wine is thrilled to announce our continued sponsorship of the recent Geographe Bay Race Week. This marks our third consecutive year supporting this esteemed yachting event staged on Geographe Bay in Busselton, Western Australia.
The Geographe Bay Race Week remains the pinnacle of yachting in Western Australia, eagerly awaited and celebrated by sailing enthusiasts across the nation.
Over 80 boats set sail on February 4th, 2024, embarking on six days of exhilarating races designed to challenge sailors of all skill levels.
This event attracted competitors from far and wide, offering some of the world’s finest sailing conditions, bringing together sailors, spectators, families, and friends in a fun celebration both on and off the waters.
In between the thrilling races, attendees explored the picturesque Geographe Bay and the stunning Margaret River region, indulging in the pristine coastlines, exquisite cuisines, fine wines, and warm local hospitality.
Throughout the week-long event, sailors relished Greenskin Wine, and we, Mike Davies and Kim McKee, (Greenskin Wine founders) sailed aboard a 36-foot monohull, ‘Sandstone’.
Mike Davies expressed his excitement about being part of this momentous event.
“Although a little light on some days, the sailing conditions were great catering to boats of all sizes and the opportunity to introduce more sailors to Greenskin Wine has been fabulous.
The wine quality combined with the packaging in a no-brainer on boats,” he said.
This sponsorship perfectly embodies Greenskin Wine’s commitment to supporting local Western Australian wineries and events while providing practical and eco-friendly packaging, perfectly suited for seafaring adventures.
Race Director, Scott Olney, extended his gratitude for Greenskin Wine’s ongoing involvement.
“Having Greenskin Wine join us for the third consecutive year is a tremendous boost for the event and all participants,” Scott said.
With plans already underway for an even more extraordinary in 2025, Greenskin Wine eagerly looks forward to continuing our sponsorship at the Geographe Bay Race Week in 2025.
